What is SQUARE ONE?
SQUARE ONE is a free browser memory game with a 1990s computer look. Level N has N hidden squares and a sequence N taps long. You find the order by guessing, then remember it. One wrong tap sends you back to level 1.
Is it free?
Yes. It plays in a web browser on a phone or a computer, with no download and no sign-up. It shows ads between runs, never during a run.
How many levels are there?
Nobody has seen the end. Clearing level 100 in one run takes 5,050 perfect taps.
| CLEAR LEVEL | PERFECT TAPS IN ONE RUN |
|---|---|
| 10 | 55 |
| 25 | 325 |
| 50 | 1,275 |
| 100 | 5,050 |
| 200 | 20,100 |
| 300 | 45,150 |
What do you win?
Nothing. There are no prizes. You get a place on the leaderboards, and the first player to clear certain levels stays on the Wall permanently.
Does it have speedruns?
Yes. The server times every run, and boards track the fastest clear of levels 10, 25, 50 and 100.
Can you cheat?
Your pattern stays on the server and belongs only to you, so nobody can give you the answers. Every player has a public file with attempts, wrong guesses, deaths by level and tap speed. Impossible-looking runs are marked Under Review, and best runs can be watched as ghost replays. Top records are verified with video.
