THE DARE
You have finished the climbing games. You have run the platformers with one hit and no checkpoints. You have thrown a controller, come back, and beaten it on stream with the whole chat watching. You think you know what hard is.
Those games had an ending. Somebody built them so that somebody could win.
This one has no tutorial, no checkpoints, no difficulty setting and no last level. Level N has N squares and N taps. Nothing is shown. You find each step by guessing. One wrong tap, on any step, on any level, and you are back at level 1 with every perfect tap gone.
Nobody can carry you. Your pattern belongs to you alone, so nobody can hand you the answers. Not your crew. Not your chat. Not a guide, because a guide cannot exist.
THE MATH
This part is not a story. It is the tapping alone, at a steady 5 taps a second, with no sleep, and that is if you never slip on a step you already know.

And that is with lines between the squares. The lines do not stay. We are not going to tell you when they go.
THE RECOVERED FILES
Nobody agrees where the program came from. Buda Capone says he only turned it back on. These turned up with it.
Build 0.1. It will not hold while they can still see the edges. If they can see the boundary they lean on the shape. They have to lose the shape. Then all they have is the song.
Anyone else get the BC archive off that FTP drop? My roommate has been at the teal screen for three days. He does not look up. He taps the table in the same order when he eats. I asked what he was doing and he said he almost had it.
Subject 00412 reports six months without leaving the program. Says the lines did not fade. Says they moved. Asked what he won. He laughed for a while. We are pulling the plug in the morning.
Host answered. No files. No owner. One counter, running. Nobody remembers starting it. It only goes up.
I turned it back on. I did not make it easier. Every one of you gets your own pattern, and your pattern never changes. It was waiting for you before you ever pressed START.
THE ARGUMENT
Nobody has seen level 100, so nobody can settle it. One side says the program just keeps going, level 101, level 102, until the player runs out of years. The other side says something is there at the end of tap 5,050, and that the reason it pays nothing is so that only one kind of person ever gets to find out.
We know which side is right. You will have to go and look.
